Manage for Success

Manage : succeed in surviving or in attaining one’s aims, esp. against heavy odds; cope.


My life can be managed to help me find a healthy balance.


I manage my life by having a plan. I spend time thinking about the path I am in and the place where I want to be. Organization and order are the ingredients that make my life efficient. Having a plan makes it easier for me to maximize my time and productivity.


My appointments are clearly marked in my planner. When I commit myself to an engagement, I quickly mark my calendar so I can remember it. I store reminders in my phone and computer so I am punctual. My agenda is with me everywhere I go so I know what is going on in my life.


To manage my finances, I keep a monthly budget to help me spend my hard earned money wisely. I use my budget to help me find a balance in my spending and I allocate enough money to pay my bills and treat myself.


I jot down a variety of lists so I remember all the things I intend to do. My goals are always written somewhere visible. And yet my vision is written on my heart.


Listening to my feelings allows me to make alterations in my life. When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back from work. If I feel alone, I spend more time with my family and friends. I take a vacation when I experience exhaustion.


My life is worthy of being treated with the utmost care and I deserve a healthy and balanced life.

Debt to Success

Debt: something, typically money, that is owed or due.


My debt does not control me, I am in control of my debt.


I maintain effective financial habits that make saving money automatic and keep me from sinking into debt. As a result, I effortlessly move toward financial freedom and a debtfree lifestyle.


Every time I get paid, a portion of my income automatically goes into savings. I figure that if I don’t see it I won’t miss it!


I make a detailed budget, including both necessary expenses and fun money and I stick to it.


I trust myself to use credit cards appropriately. I am sure to stay within my budget so that each month I can pay off whatever I charge. This strategy builds great credit, too!


If something costs more than the monthly budget allows, I save up for it. I only use extended credit for the big things, like a car or a house, and I get great interest rates on the big items because of my wise financial habits.


I also do little things each day that add up to a lot of money over time. At the end of each day, I put all my change into a jar and start fresh with only bills the next day.


I plan my meals so I can prepare food at home rather than having to pick up fast food due to a hectic schedule. I make my own coffee rather than pick some up on the way to work.


Today, I am planning a nice vacation, paid for with cash, because my great financial habits free up the funds for me to enjoy such rewards.

Health For Success

Health: the state of being free from illness or injury.


I reclaim my health by taking care of myself

today.


Now that I am adult, I am responsible for my own health. In order to reclaim it, I sometimes need to go back and parent myself into a healthier lifestyle. There are many things I can do, even today, to help myself along.


First of all, I recognize that what I put into my body affects my energy level, stamina, and productivity, not to mention my ability to stay healthy.


I choose to give my body foods that provide fuel and nutrients rather than empty calories that simply pack on pounds that I don’t need.


I also make exercise a priority. I have let go of the idea that I have to be either a master athlete or a couch potato. It’s perfectly acceptable for me to be somewhere in between.


While gym memberships and structured exercise programs can be valuable tools, I can be healthy without them by making a few minor changes to my lifestyle.


Walking or biking to work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and engaging in outdoor play with my children are all excellent forms of exercise. Any movement is good for my body.


Lastly, I make sure to respect my body’s need for rest. I have a set time when my day is done. The vast majority of the time, whatever is unfinished can be picked up the following morning.


I have let go of the idea that I need to pack as much into each day as possible. Instead, I keep an eye on the big picture because I know that pacing myself and getting the rest I need will enable me to reach my peak productivity level.

Smile To Success

Smile: a pleased, kind, or amused facial expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed.


I love to live with a perpetual smile on my face.


Wearing a smile makes me feel better. It’s really hard to feel down when I am smiling because smiling causes me to think of pleasant things that give me even more to smile about!


I find that when I am happy, everyone around me is happier as well. Happiness is contagious! I can smile at a total stranger on the street and see their eyes light up while they return my smile. When everyone is happy, whether at work or at home, life is better for everyone involved.


In the morning, I glance in the mirror and give myself a smile before I walk out the door to start my day. This simple gesture brings me confidence and heightens my self-esteem.


At work, my colleagues are always happy to see my smiling face. It brightens the morale and lightens the load when happiness walks in!


When I see my loved ones again after a long day at work, I greet them with a genuinely happy smile. I can feel their enthusiasm to be back together and it brings me joy just to be with them. Our evenings start and end with a smile, with plenty of smiles and laughter in between.


When someone around me is sad or worried, I smile to lift their spirits. Today, I strive to bring an extra measure of happiness to the world with a warm smile to everyone I meet.

Frustrations and Success

Frustrations: something that causes feelings of anger and annoyance : something that frustrates someone


I honestly voice my frustrations.


My opinions are valid, so I am honest about my feelings. I find constructive ways to communicate with the people in my life.


Everyone has frustrations. Annoyance and anger are natural human emotions. The best way to rid myself of these feelings is to acknowledge that they exist and to move forward.


Since I am in touch with my feelings, I know when I become angry or frustrated. As a calm and rational adult, I realize I must voice my frustrations in order to rid myself of them. Honestly voicing my frustrations is the best way for me to move past them.


I think of each frustration as a pesky fly. They are nothing more than small annoyances.


If each frustration I have is a fly, I imagine what would happen if all of those flies were to become trapped in a bottle. Picturing the chaos as these flies frantically search for an escape reminds me that I have a choice.


Instead of trapping the flies in a bottle, I can choose to release them. By taking the lid off of the bottle, I allow each fly to escape. All of the negative energy is gone, and the bottle becomes a calm space.


By comparing my frustrations to flies in a bottle, I can see the importance of releasing my frustrations. I imagine each frustration soaring away from me, and I am calmed by the image.


I refuse to let frustrations fester in my life so I take healthy steps toward letting go of petty annoyances. Sharing frustrations with others is therapeutic. I am relieved that I have the choice to honestly voice my frustrations and move forward.

Goals For Success

Goals: the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.


I have well-structured goals and stick to my deadlines.


Deadlines excite me because I see them as long-awaited finish lines. I am thrilled by the opportunity to accomplish my goals in victory.


Focusing on meeting my deadlines is a way to keep me motivated. Because I like to finish everything I start, I feel energized by an approaching deadline.


Showing others that I can keep my word and meet my deadlines is empowering. The pride I feel is indescribable knowing that people can trust me to get things done. Being reliable is something I value in myself.


I picture myself in a well-planned race. I know the path I am going to take and I am excited to run the course. Because I have prepared for my participation, I know I can reach the finish line victoriously.


As the finish line approaches, I surge forward. This is how I live my life. At the end of every finish line, a medal awaits me to reward me for my efforts. Whether that medal is a kind word, a note of thanks, or a bigger prize, I am fulfilled and happy.


Once again, I have proven to myself that I am dependable and that I can take on anything I desire. Sticking to well-structured goals and deadlines allows me to accomplish my tasks and reach greater heights.

Understanding Who I Am For Success

Who I Am:  the nominative singular pronoun, used by a speaker in referring to himself or herself.


I have a clear understanding of who I am.


My mind is at peace with who I am because it is who I have chosen to be. I am a devoted friend, a loving parent, a responsible worker, and an all-around fun person. Who I am depends solely on how I see myself and how I chose to behave.


I identify myself not by where I come from, but by where I am choosing to go. I think and speak positively of myself in order to build up my spirit with my words.


When I acknowledge my worth with certainty, I am a force to be reckoned with. I know that I was created for a purpose and that my life has a calling. My family, my friends, and my Creator value me more than diamonds.


Although I seek to be at peace with everyone, I live for myself and for my family. I reject negative criticism, therefore I am unaffected by others’ negative opinions.

I appreciate and acknowledge the love and support I receive from my family.


I would be nothing without the love and support of my family. My family is not only my support but also the foundation for who I am. My family is always there for me when I need them.


I am blessed to have such an incredible family. Daily, I thank God for my family. I also make it a point to regularly thank my family for their presence in my life and for being just who they are. I truly feel privileged to have my family’s support in all of my endeavors.


Hearing a word of praise from a member of my family means the world to me. They cheer me on when I am winning. My family accepts me when I come up short. No matter how the game is going, they are always in my corner.

Forgiveness For Success

Forgiveness: the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.


I will forgive or ask for forgiveness, after all, I cannot change anyone else.


I am free from anger and remorse.


I am able to live my life free of anger and remorse because I choose to deal with situations as they arise. I avoid the tendency to avoid situations that cause me discomfort because I know that addressing them upfront will help me get to the source of the problem quickly, before it has time to take root and grow.


When I am hurt, I discuss my feelings with the other person involved. I am uninterested in laying blame, but I attempt to be open and honest, sharing how I feel in the wake of his or her actions. I speak out of a desire for deeper understanding and respect.


When I hurt someone else, I apologize with a sincere heart. I let go of my pride as well as any desire for revenge.


Very rarely will an issue be entirely one person’s fault. I resist the idea that the other person must approach me before I can forgive or ask for forgiveness, after all, I cannot change anyone else.


I can only take responsibility for my own actions. For this reason, I am willing to ask for forgiveness and to seek understanding, even when I recognize that the other person was at fault, as well.


If a hurt is too great or becomes too deeply entrenched, I am unashamed to ask for help from someone who is trained in helping people find peace with relationships in their lives.

I am firmly committed to staying active and healthy.


I remain lively and fit because I am dedicated to me.


Being dedicated and committed to my health assures me that I will remain healthy and active throughout my life.


I appreciate and enjoy the conviction to eat healthy foods and exercise my body and mind. I also make sure I relax and de-stress. These are all measures I take to ensure I stay active, healthy and happy.


I have a set schedule that includes an exercise regimen and proper foods to give me plenty of energy. I feel stronger when I exercise and I feel better when I have a balance of nutrients in my body. I enjoy feeling good and I deserve to be healthy.


Sometimes it is difficult for me to go to the gym when I really would rather stay home, but I let go of these feelings because I am committed to myself. It is through this commitment that I ensure a better me.


Today I choose to remain committed to myself and to my regimen of exercise and nutrition. I let go of the urge to skip my schedule. I let go of my urge to eat unhealthy foods. When I dedicate myself to my commitments, I know that I will enjoy a healthy and active body for a long time.

Finances for Success

Finances: the management of large amounts of money; provide funding for (a person or enterprise).


Exercising restraint in my finances allows me to build wealth.


I envision myself with a savings account large enough to secure my family in the face of change. I am proactive toward giving the gift of financial security to my family and myself.


My goal is to be able to retire and continue to live well. In order to reach that goal, I must make some adjustments to my finances. By living below my means, I am setting myself up for a lifetime of provision.


My spending habits are a reflection of my true desires. I research before making major purchases. Comparison-shopping helps me to get the best deals available.


My motivation for making purchases is need, not greed. Before I buy, I ask myself, “Do I really need this right now?” The money I am saving by exercising restraint is going toward more important things in life, such as college funds or retirement savings.


I am free from the pressure of trying to impress others, because I am loved for who I am, not for what I have.


If I am out with my friends and one makes an expensive purchase, I am fine just sitting back and watching, without needing to make a large purchase of my own.


In the future, I will appreciate my finances for success decisions. I am building wealth to secure myself and leave an inheritance for my children.


When I focus on the good things that I have, I overflow with enough gratitude to drown out the materialistic side of me. The self control needed to abstain from unnecessary purchases is within me.

Priorities For Success

Priorities:  things that are regarded as more important than others.


My daily priorities further my life’s goals.


Organization is the compass that keeps my life on course. I choose to organize myself daily to maximize my productivity. Each morning, I make a plan for the day by listing my chores, responsibilities, and wishes. I prioritize my list and start my day as I keep my ultimate goals in mind.


I spend my time doing things that will further my life’s goals. I also invest time in renewing my strength so I may continue on my journey. Insignificant activities that simply rob time from my priorities are not listed on my schedule. They have no place in my life.


My time is spent engaging in meaningful activities. Important things in my life, such as my family and my work, have priority status. My big picture excludes things that only serve to distract me from my ultimate purpose.


Every individual step I take is part of a greater journey. I look at each decision I make today as an investment in my future. This is a way of telling me that I am serious about my success.


I have made the conscious choice to move forward with every step I take. I keep my future goals in mind and I am able to focus even when others try to entice me.


I plan my activities to minimize wasted time. Having a plan keeps me accountable to myself and to others. Reflecting at the end of the day helps me increase my productivity the next day. When I choose to maintain my priorities, not only do I get closer to my goals, but I also open up to achieve success beyond my imagination.

Master Communication For Success

Communication: the imparting or exchanging of information or news.


Communication is the master key that I use to open the door to happiness.


The quality of relationships in my life is determined by my sense of well-being. This is built on a strong foundation of communication.


I create ever deeper relationships by sharing my thoughts and feelings honestly. I have let go of the notion that people should be able to read my mind. I speak up when I feel hurt or offended because I am confident that our love allows us to work through conflict. I share my thoughts and ideas because I know we are strongest when we work together as a team.


I also take the time to ask others what they are thinking and feeling. I actively listen to them, and repeat back what I think they are saying until I am confident that I am truly hearing not just their words but also the meaning behind them.


I have let go of the idea that I will be happiest if other people tell me what I want to hear. I have no interest in illusions, even ones that feel good. I am more interested in sharing truth and using it to create bonds that strengthen everyone involved as we reach our goals together.

Procrastination Slows Success

Procrastination: the action of delaying or postponing something.


By keeping organized and utilizing my time wisely, procrastination melts away.


Living an ordered life helps me accomplish my goals. I am so happy that I am in control of my projects and goals.


Being productive is important to me because I want to live an active and purposeful life and when I reach my goals, I feel proud of myself.


In order to be productive in my life, I keep organized. It is important for me to find ways to organize my desk, to remove paper clutter from my life, and to arrange my home into a peaceful environment. I do not put off tackling chores because I know that my neatness will make completing any given task easier.


By managing my time wisely, I stay on track. Using calendars to mark important dates and meetings, writing schedules in my planner, and setting deadlines for myself, are all ways of making sure I use my time wisely. Completing tasks is so much easier because I choose to manage my time effectively.


When I procrastinate, I feel frozen by inaction, but I can overcome this feeling. By keeping organized and using my time wisely, procrastination melts away. Warmth spreads from my fingers to my toes. All of that pent up energy is released and I am free to complete my projects.


It is such a relief to be organized. The systems I have in my life make my daily chores more manageable. I am able to classify projects and accomplish them in a sensible way.


Effectively using my time means I can get even more accomplished and by finishing my tasks, I am prepared for the excitement of a new challenge.

Mistakes To Success

Mistakes: an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.


Mistakes are the detours that direct me to a better me.


Mistakes help me travel on a journey and arrive as a better person. I get back up with new insight each time I stumble. There is a lesson to be learned in every situation.


I take time to reflect when I am down. I ask myself, “What did I do to get to this point?” and, “What can I do in the future to avoid this situation?”


Personal growth is the best outcome of any mistake. I am slow to anger because I once lost my temper and offended a loved one. My finances are in order because I once found myself buried in debt. Only truth enters my mind because I once found myself tangled up in a web of lies.


From each experience, I have learned that there is a light at the end of my tunnel. It would have been easy to allow rage, debt, and lies to reign my life, but I strive to choose a better way. I learned my lessons and I enjoy the fruits of peace, prosperity, and truth.


I acknowledge that we all have faults. Making mistakes is part of being human. I do not know everything. I will make mistakes and that is okay. It’s what I do after that counts. I forgive myself and I choose not to dwell on my errors.


Mistakes are life’s built-in lessons because there is no training course for life. Maintaining a pure heart helps me learn from my mistakes and avoid making them again.
